The First Ukrainian DBR Conference
30 - 31 October 2026
We conceived this conference as a ‘home’ event – within the warm circle of our DBR family – and planned to invite Frank Corrigan and Jessica Christie-Sands, as well as those international colleagues who have been with us from the very beginning. We had planned for presentations by Ukrainian colleagues on their experience of applying DBR therapy and the incredible discoveries that inevitably accompany the journey of a psychotherapist learning a new method of psychotherapy.
But things didn’t turn out as expected.
It was decided to make the conference international – a sort of bridge between Ukraine and other countries where DBR is spreading and developing.
So, something quite exciting awaits you.
This is for those who have experienced first-hand that the tools currently available are not enough to address trauma in depth — there is still something you cannot reach in therapy.
For those seeking the latest methods of trauma therapy, based on contemporary neurobiological knowledge and research.
DBR is a method that opens up entirely new possibilities for trauma therapy and allows us to work at a different, deeper level — the level of the survival brain. That is where the core of the trauma lies; that is its ‘Achilles’ heel’.
And our conference will reveal to you all the facets and possibilities of Deep Brain Reorientaing.
"Where healing begins. Where trauma loses its power."

Developer of the Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) method.
Throughout a career spanning over 30 years as an NHS Consultant Psychiatrist in Scotland, Frank combined his extensive clinical experience with research on the neurobiology of trauma and its underpinnings in major psychiatric disorders. His research broadly explored the intersection between affective Neuroscience and the science of healing culminating in the development of Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR)®. This new and novel psychotherapeutic approach emphasises the importance of tracking a distinctive neurophysiological sequence embedded in ‘deep brain’ systems. One of the most unique aspects of DBR as a trauma-focused therapy, is the embodiment of a natural healing process that is consonant with the evolutionary process of the developing brain and nervous system.
